We had the good fortune of connecting with Mayura Nisal – Kulkarni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mayura, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I’ve given my children is grit—the grit of never giving up, believing that anything is possible, and understanding that hard work has no option. As a busy mom of two—a swimmer and a soccer player—I’ve worked hard to model resilience, determination, and balance. Whether it’s everyday. swim practices or soccer games on the weekends, we keep going—together. They’ve seen me build PurnaMagic from the ground up, and they’ve been part of the journey, helping with packaging, setting up for pop-up booths, and cheering me on every step of the way, and most beautifully, sometimes even seeing the vision for PurnaMagic before I do, helping me build the path forward.
In the process, they’ve learned that success isn’t handed to you—it’s earned. I hope that by involving them in my entrepreneurial path, I’ve shown them that no dream is too big, and no goal is out of reach if you’re willing to put in the effort

What should our readers know about your business?
Starting my business came from a place of passion and purpose. I’ve always loved cooking and experimenting with spices—they’re the heart of every great dish. Over time, I noticed a gap in the market: many seasoning mixes were either overly processed or lacked fresh, exciting flavors. I wanted to create different spice blends that bring modern cooking to life through bold, clean flavors and endless experimentation. Not every dish need added colors or artificial flavoring—pure ingredients can create magic when combined in unique blends and twists. That’s the philosophy behind PurnaMagic: using only clean, trusted ingredients to inspire creativity and elevate everyday meals. That’s how PurnaMagic was born—to inspire creativity in the kitchen with versatile blends designed for grilling, stir-frying, quick weeknight meals, and more. My goal is to make cooking adventurous and accessible, encouraging food lovers to try new flavor combinations and elevate everyday dishes. I believe food has the power to bring people, culture, and family together. Everyone has a little magic in their hands—we just help to unleash it. Through our pure, thoughtfully crafted spice blends, PurnaMagic empowers home cooks to create memorable meals that connect and inspire. This journey is deeply personal. Legacy West & Grandscape – My Go-To Spots for Food, Fun & Flavor

When I want to unwind, feel inspired, or simply enjoy good food and good company, Legacy West is my favorite place to be. It has that perfect blend of sophistication and comfort — whether I’m strolling through the beautifully lit streets, trying out new restaurants, or grabbing a cozy coffee, it always feels like a mini getaway. It’s my go-to for browsing local boutiques, catching up with friends, and people-watching in the plaza.

And when I’m craving music, energy, and a fun atmosphere, Grandscape is the place to be. From live concerts to the open-air vibe, it’s the kind of space that makes you feel alive and connected. I especially love stopping by the small local gems — a bag of gourmet popcorn, a cute cupcake or ice cream treat — these little indulgences make every visit special. kid-friendly fun zones like arcades and game centers, there’s something for everyone.

Both spots inspire me as a food lover and creator. They remind me that flavor, experience, and community go hand-in-hand — just like what I hope to bring through PurnaMagic.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My journey wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of my whole family — especially my spouse and kids and my parents — who believed in me from day one and encouraged me to take the leap into entrepreneurship. The local small business community and my very first customers played a huge role in building my confidence. Their trust helped me believe that PurnaMagic could truly bring something meaningful to the world.
