We had the good fortune of connecting with Mary Martell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mary, what do you attribute your success to?
I am a clinical certified hypnotherapist. I feel the most important factor behind my success is having done my own healing and continuing to work on myself.

I’m sure everyone has their struggles. And I had many Myself, I remember just being in such a bad place that I thought I had Had to live that way forever.

So when I got introduced to Hypnotherapy I begin to see the changes in myself and decided to get educated to help other people and give them hope for change because it is possible.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I really don’t know how I got started in my business. It wasn’t anything I set out to do. I believe it was because of my struggles and that I saw how much I changed as I learned more about Hypnosis. With a strong passion for helping people and giving them hope, this is what makes me different from others.

I’ve been involved with many sessions myself, so I understand both sides as a client and as the hypnotist. Also, I feel like much more can be healed with Hypnotherapy because of my own experience. My specialties are anger, phobias, sports, reasons for drinking or eating, confidence, emotional issues, and pain.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a best friend come into town to visit, one of the things that I would enjoy doing is entertaining in my backyard with a glass of wine, listening to the water fountain, enjoying the trees and the birds, and having a great conversation to catch up. On another day, I may take her to Campisi’s Pizza, where the atmosphere is cozy with great music like Frank Sinatra.

I think the horse races at Lone Star Park would also be an exciting outing because you don’t have to bet very much money to have a great time! Finally, the Arboretum is very lovely to stroll through and look at the beautiful flowers. There is also a restaurant where you can have a meal overlooking the lake. When I have a guest, it’s usually someone that wants to relax and have a conversation.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many teachers, mentors, and clients who have impacted and encouraged my journey. My mentor and inspirations include, Gil Boyne, John Butler, Randall Churchhill, Cheryl Canfield. I have learned so much from each of my clients. I am inspired and encouraged by their success and change.
