We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyndsy Foshion and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lyndsy, what do you attribute your success to?
I really believe that my amazing guests are the reason for my success. Seeing the smile on their faces when I turn them around in the chair, really fuels me to be the best I can be. Their constant support and love picks me up, and I hope to be a light in their life. I only get a couple of hours with them every couple of months, but I hope that through hair I can make their life a little brighter. I am a firm believer that when you look good, you feel good!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe that my passion for hair sets me apart. Hair is truly a work of art, and I am constantly working on bettering myself through continuing education. I really put my all into my business; whether it be late nights at the salon or waking up early to watch online classes. It definitely was not easy going out on my own and becoming an independent hairstylist. In all reality, I don’t think I’ve ever been so scared in my life. But luckily, my love for hair outweighed my fears. I am a huge believer in manifestion and anything is possible as long as I am willing to go along with all the craziness and put my all into it. Babylights and balayage are my true passion. I love creating transformations that brighten up a persons’ look and work well with their lifestyle! I really believe hair is meant to enhance a persons’ natural beauty!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love this area so much, it’s hard to pick! I would definitely have to take them to Sushi Zen in Southlake for my favorite Volcano Roll, and then stop by Legacy Cakes in Grapevine for the best cupcakes (I’m a big dessert girl). We would definitely do some hiking at Eagle Mountain and then checkout some of the local boutiques and coffee shops scattered across the Metroplex.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First off, I have to thank God for blessing me with the talent and ability to do what I love. I also have to thank my family, without their continuous support I would not be where I am in life. They pick me up on the rough days and celebrate all the small wins with me. They have always supported my choice to be a hairstylist, when other people didn’t. I also have to thank my amazing salon family at Uptown Salon Lantana. They are some of the most encouraging people I have ever worked with.
