We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizett Munoz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lizett, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business I wanted to make an impact in peoples lives and change their daily routine of no eyebrows. I wanted to give everyone a chance to feel beautiful and save time. Starting my own micro-blading business is very competitive, and the thought of what most people think that I just tattoo someones eyebrows on their face, I’m sure they thought I was crazy. But in those who have trusted me and will continue to trust my art work of eyebrows motivates me to continue to be the best that i can be. I have my own technique that I have learned from another amazing micro-blading artist, and bringing that over to Dallas has changed my life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Capturing the beauty of creating eyebrows has changed my life. I love when my clients feel beautiful in their own skin and now having beautiful eyebrows to match that confidence is what makes my art so much more satisfying. Still being new in the industry, has been a challenge, but having the trust in strangers who see my art and fall in love with it, is such an amazing feeling. Specially when they walk in the studio and they just tell me, ” I trust you”, is truly the words any artist wants to hear. Starting my own business was not easy, late nights of my own marketing and branding on top of being a full time mom. But nothing is more satisfying like working for myself and knowing there is the rainbow after the storm. Remember the name Tejas Brows, it’s going to be a game changer in the Microblading industry and this Tejas BrowGirl is here to stay and it’s only the beginning.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The heart of Texas, truly is Dallas. But its the hidden gem that’s in Oakcliff and it’s The Bishop Arts District. Where you can go for a walk and get anything from getting your eyebrows micro-bladed at Tejas Brows to a a delicious margarita at Tejas Eats and Paradiso. For great food spots, Coco’s Fire and Ice, Tejas Eats, Encanto Pops, and some juicing at Pressed by Perla. For late drinks The Trove Dallas. Coffee, Hola Cafe, Tribal Coffee and shopping Caffineted Beauty & AutmnMoon.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be able to do what I love to do without the support of my loving family and friends. My Investor and partner Jimmy Escamilla. My amazing mentor Julia at HoneyBrow, she gave me the confidence to learn an amazing skill. And this shoutout Is dedicated to my loving mother who God rest her soul was not able to see this amazing accomplishment, but i know she watches from above and my father, Mario who has shown me to always work hard for your dreams.
