We had the good fortune of connecting with Laredo Two and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laredo, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Every member of the the band has been deeply impacted by music since they could register rhythm and melody. As they grew up, their appreciation for the art of music did the same, from the emotional resonance of specific bands and albums that impacted them, to the unrivaled energy of live shows. In their teenaged years, they began to want to create the same experience for others. Especially over quarantine, the band began to provide free private concerts in front of people’s houses performing both covers and original music. With the release of their debut studio EP in June, they plan to continue to grow their following and connect with people who are as passionate about music as they are.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Laredo Two plays melancholic and nostalgic indie rock inspired by late ‘90s and early 2000s bands such as Sunny Day Real Estate and My Chemical Romance. Writing large amounts of music through their childhood and teenaged years before getting to the point of emotional honestly and musical originality they had prior to the writing and production of their debut studio release. They set themselves apart from other bands in the genre by taking pride in their independence from major label help, while simultaneously valuing high production value and exceeding lo-fi expectations from a teenaged indie rock group
