We had the good fortune of connecting with Kylie Cross and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kylie , we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In all honesty it really started out as proof to myself that I can go beyond my own walls of playing it small and safe. I believed in the coaching that I had received that I have value, I have something to offer to someone else, I am expert enough to share my perspective and I jumped on board doing the biggest scariest thing I could. The only reason to not start coaching was because its hard and I was a person who was committed to doing hard things.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the owner of Beyond the Walls Life Coaching and Podcast. My sister and I started out the podcast together and we came up with the name and content based around the conversations we had with each other, the healing we had done over the years from our own personal traumas, and wanting to be a voice for others. Since then my sister has moved on to her personal endeavors but I have continued the podcast and coaching to keep my vision alive to help other women overcome their disappointments, regrets, and fears of the life they had created and to show them a new way to go beyond their walls so they can rechoose or recreate a life they love that brings them purpose and joy.

I want women to know that its never too late to grow, healing is possible, and that each one of us has purpose and value. Often we hide those things out of fear and I want to come along side women to help them find their voice, to take back the ownership of their life and rewrite their story.

I offer one to one coaching and an online self paced course that takes them through 6 walls to start a new mindset about relationships, communication, boundaries, thoughts, and our identity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to take walks around a beautiful little gem called Adriatica Village. It has a great little breakfast spot, a coffee shop (I love coffee) and a pretty lake to walk around.
After that we would probably head into Downtown McKinney to window shop and must stop for lunch at Patina Green Home and Market. They have the best unique sandwiches. Give me food and coffee and a comfy place to catch up and I am set! We probably would also take a day trip to Waco Texas and do all the things with Magnolia. Especially a meal at Magnolia Table!! A definite Must.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be where I am today without the love and support of a few friends who led me to the transformative coaching I received that helped Gods word come alive and real to me! This helped my deep conviction that I just am loved and accepted for who I am to come alive, and really gave me the language to take personal ownership and responsibility for my life and my decisions.
