We had the good fortune of connecting with Stevie Wyatt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stevie, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
We grew up in the pop punk, emo and post hardcore scenes, and it’s always been more than just music to us. It’s a form of expression, a way to channel everything we’ve been through. Pursuing a music career was almost inevitable because we wanted to create something real and raw, something that speaks to people who feel like they’re on the outside looking in. Our music is an outlet for us, and it’s our way of giving back to the community that’s shaped us. We want to connect with others who share the same passion and give them the kind of music that got us through the tough times.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our music is a blend of pop punk, emo, and post hardcore, but what really sets us apart is the raw emotion and authenticity we bring to every song. We’re not afraid to dive deep into the struggles and experiences that have shaped us. Whether it’s dealing with mental health, heartbreak, or just navigating the chaos of life. Our lyrics are real, our sound is energetic and introspective and we aim to create something that resonates with anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t quite fit in.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here’s the perfect 3 day itinerary in our opinion:

Day 1:
Seven Mile Cafe
Denton Square
LSA Burger
Denton County Brewing Company
Barley & Board
Dan’s Silverleaf

Day 2:
West Oak
Greenhouse Restaurant
South Lakes Park
Movie Tavern

Day 3:
Dallas Museum of Art
Pecan Lodge
Dallas World Aquarium
Deep Sushi
Bomb Factory

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Our journey wouldn’t be where it is without the support of so many people along the way. First and foremost, we have to give a shoutout to our fans. They are the ones who show up and give us the energy to keep pushing forward. But behind the scenes, there’s a lot more going on. We want to thank our friends who’ve been there from the beginning. We also can’t forget our local music scene; venues, promoters and other bands we’ve shared the stage with. They have all played a part in our growth. A special shoutout also goes out to our mentors and the bands that inspired us growing up. Bands like Paramore showed us that it’s okay to be vulnerable, to be loud, and to pour our hearts out into our music. Lastly we want to thank the team behind us, to our producer TRVR? and to TRND Media who’ve helped turn our vision into reality. This journey is far from over, and we know we’ve for a whole community backing us up every step of the way.
