We had the good fortune of connecting with Kurlisha Matlock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kurlisha, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk are blessings! A risk will either make you or break you. It’s all about stepping out on faith. Taking risk in my life and buisness has played a major part in my world. It has allowed god to bless me tremendously! If I hadn’t taken risk I would still be where I was 6 years ago.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The thing that sets me apart from others is my strength! I can with stand anything! I am most proud of myself for the things I have manifested in my life, my buisness being number 1.I’m Excited about where my career is heading so much more in store for me. I got to where I am today with dedication and hard work.it was not always easy but I refused to give up and forced myself to keep going on my worst days when I felt no progress and wanted to give up. I’ve learned to trust the process and work hard.my brand is my life! I work everyday to improve my brand and I pray my story motivates everyone and shows them if I can do it they can too!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was coming to Dallas I would take them to Benihana to go eat and drink, best place to eat in Dallas the food is soooooo good! Second we would go to top golf to golf it’s chill. Then of course we would go to the night life down town Dallas it’s a must see!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandmother eula May sanders. Greatest hairstylist Alive. I truly miss her. I remember growing up in her salon it was epic!
