We had the good fortune of connecting with Kinsey Gibson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kinsey, why did you pursue a creative career?
I believe artists have a unique ability to make the world a better place. My passion is photography; it allows me to create images and capture moments while also connecting with the people inside of those moments. My goal is to make my clients feel a mixture of confidence and comfort while showcasing their beauty. Photography feels like a part of who I am, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with each one of my clients. My goal is to make them feel a mixture of confidence and comfort while showcasing their beauty. I want to do more than just snap your Christmas card photo; I want to create lasting memories that you can show your grandchildren one day. This is more than just a job for me. It is an opportunity to make the world a better place. This passion brings me tremendous joy, and I love that I get to share it with other people!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ah yes! I would first take them to Sons of Liberty for some coffee. Because obviously you need some fantabulous Fort Worth coffee to start the day, right? Then I would show them around Downtown! We would walk around 7th street and check out the Flower Market and buy some pretty flowers! We would go drop them off at my place…Now it’s lunchtime! So we would grab some Fajitas from Chuy’s and then have a picnic at Trinity Park. I love to explore the trails! So I would rent some bikes for us, and we would ride the trails through Panther Island. Then, of course, we would drive down to Magnolia street and grab some ice cream from Melt for dessert! To end the day, we would drive back to panther island and enjoy the beautiful Texas sunset! I love my city! These are some of my favorite gems in Fort Worth!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out my family, my faith community, and my creative community! My family and faith community have supported me through all of the ups and downs of starting a business. They celebrate with me when everything is going well, and they encourage me when I want to give up. I am so grateful for that! My creative community has been a significant source of inspiration for me. They have been there to answer my questions, give me constructive criticism, and cheer me on! These are the people/communities who have made this dream a reality.
