Meet Keocia Perry | R&B/Pop Artist &Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keocia Perry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keocia, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always knew that it was my destiny to be an entertainer. I love to put on a show and be the center of attention when I step in a room. Singing and dancing is my passion and something that I’m very great at doing. I get excited to see my fans faces while hearing them sing my lyrics. I’ve always knew I would pursue being an artist because I create daily and I don’t like to work for people. I rather be my own boss and have 100% control of my creativity. I can write, sing, and dance how I want without having to answer to anyone. Being an artist allows you to color outside of the lines instead of being boxed in with society. Being free to be me is why I chose to pursue my dreams in the entertainment industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Some will label me a an R&B artist and others say POP. I would say that I’m all of the above when it comes to my creativity. I ca create any type of genre. I don’t like to be put in a box when it comes to my creativity. I try to write with versatility to gain a wide range of fans. My music is relatable to many and I stride to continue to create for the people. What sets me apart from other artist is that I’m a full package. I’m an entertainer who can do it all. I supply emotion through my music wether it’s being sassy or edgy, I come with it all. I’m excited about my growth as an artist over the last five years because I’ve learned so much about myself and the industry. I have truly blossomed into a beautiful singing rose. I want the world t know that I’m coming and when I blow up you want be able to put me out!’

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite spots in the metroplex will be hanging out at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The scene and life style is upscale and stylish. I do consider myself to be stylish and super fly. I love the vibes because you can shop, eat and drink in one location with different businesses. You get to meet new and exciting people who love to enjoy the vibes and share their free time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shoutout my amazing Choreographer and Creative Director Edward Aka Eddie. He is an amazing dancer who has a passion for creating beautiful routines for me. I wouldn’t have made it this far without his unlimited support and dedication. I love you Eddie for always pushing me and showing up.
