We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenzie Elizabeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenzie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
In my opinion, the most important factor behind the success of building my brand has been to stay true to myself. Since I am in the business of content, I have always had free reign on the type of content I create. I have been sharing my life for the past decade online. Since I’ve stayed true to myself, I’ve been able to build a brand with longevity. It’s made it far easier to evolve as I’ve gotten older because it was a natural progression. Had I just gone after the trends and vitality, I’m not sure I would have lasted this long.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I hope what sets me apart from others has been my ability to create community. A lot of the girls who follow me have found each other, made friends, gotten jobs, found roommates and even felt a little more at home in a new city. I’ve hosted many events for my followers from book clubs to live shows to happy hours etc. I want them to be able to make friends and feel like they belong!

I have gotten to where I am today through consistency. Slow and steady wins the race! I have not been someone to go viral and grow a following overnight. I am grateful for the slow and steady growth over the years because it’s allowed me to build an audience who’s very loyal and with me for the long haul.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you like fitness, I love walking White Rock Lake or the Katy Trail & grabbing a coffee at Foxtrot. For classes I love Fit Social Club & Shine Hot Pilates. I love an afternoon spent out on the patio at Honor Bar (their margarita is my favorite). I am more of a bar girl, so if I’m going out at night I’m either on Henderson or at Inwood Tavern! I’m also a huge fan of Fort Worth. I start at Hotel Drover, go to Second Rodeo, walk around & typically end up at Billy Bobs or Basement Bar! If you’re into museums, I love the JFK museum downtown. Bishop Arts is also so cute & walkable. They have great food & the most unique shops. Wild Detectives is great. It’s a book shop, bar and venue. They typically have happy hour deals on books too! I could spend hours in Bishop Arts.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout would be to my father. I always say I grew up with a dad who believed I could become president if I wanted to, so that is where I have gotten the courage always to follow my dreams.
