We had the good fortune of connecting with Kawaii Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kawaii, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I have done as a parent was to make the choice to homeschool my child while running my photographer business full time. It shows my child that she can do anything in this world that she wants to do as long as she seeks God’s kingdom first.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I express my art though my camera lens. As a professional photographer how I take care of my clients sets me apart. I aim to make sure that my clients can feel the love of God through me while at my studio. I am most proud of the business I have built from ground zero.I got to where I am today professionally by working hard and having faith in God. No, it was not easy and I understand that it will never be easy, because the enemy will always try to interfere with my purpose here on earth.I overcome the challenges by using the word of God as my full armor. The lessons I have learned along the way is keep the faith in God and his promises for my life no matter was trials I may face and to treat people how I would like to be treated. I want the world to know that God is real and that he loves his children. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Times will get hard but you have to believe that he will always keep his promise.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to the city of Dallas, Uptown Dallas to be exact. I love the whole area that they have in that down town area. They have shopping centers, food and whatever you can imagine for a girls day out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God deserves all the credit for my life and business. Without him I wouldn’t be where I am today. When I wanted to give up and felt lost and depressed no one had the answers, but him. I am proud to say that today I have overcome many obstacles that were meant to destroy me by the grace of God.
