We had the good fortune of connecting with Johana Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Johana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor to pursuing your dreams is to believe in yourself, do the work, and don’t be afraid to make “mistakes”. Don’t be afraid to take action and get results. If you don’t like the results you are getting, change your strategy, if you like the results, you are getting keep doing what you love. Everything is perspective, if you change your perspective everything changes.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am in the business of creating space for people to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally while they create alignment between their human experience and spirituality to live a fulfilled life. I also am the creator of transformational Health and wellness retreats around the world.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy?
I made the transition at the beginning of 2022; the transition was better than I thought. I continue learning every day, doing things with fear and pushing my boundaries.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Nobody has all the answers in the beginning, and that is normal. If you are willing to do the work and learn during this process, things will fall into place later on. Life always supports you in achieving your dreams.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
As any other human being, I have had many challenges. In my 20s suffered from depression, anxiety, food addiction, and lost my job, house, love relationship, etc. I was not in alignment with my higher self, and I couldn’t understand all these experiences that were happening to me.

I passed by what many call the dark night of the soul, after learning and growing through those experiences I have now dedicated my life to guiding individuals through similar experiences and to taking the most out of it, creating better experiences to a happier and fulfilled life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I will take my friend to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanic Garden in the morning have a coffee there, then take them to Las Colinas to have lunch and walk around the lake, and then we will eat and have drinks at R + D Kitchen in University park, this one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is delicious, the vibe is great, and the service is consistent.

I may plan a trip to Austin, visit the caverns, and take a splash in one of their natural pools.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Agree, that our success is based on our collaboration with others. This is one of my favorite quotes “If you work alone you will get to your goal faster, but if you collaborate with others you will get further.”

I am grateful that Kim Arney shared this opportunity with me. She has been a successful entrepreneur for a long time, and I love that she is now supporting other entrepreneurs like me.
