We had the good fortune of connecting with Jimmy Hendrixxx and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jimmy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factors behind my success is my motivation from all my dead friends. I have had many brothers who believed in my talent that wanted me to give music a REAL RUN besides just playing around and since the day that they died they have motivated me and my journey till this today.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Getting to where I’m at today has not been easy. Making the type of “real life” music I make can be harder to capture a crown vs a song with a catchy hook or a dance routine. At times it gets overwhelming and seem pointless but then I just think about my brothers and the reason I’m doin this and I get back into the swing of things. But over the time of battling myself over if I wanna actually do music or not I managed to develop a stronger passion and a deeper love for music.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you are looking for a good time in Dallas, I recommend you stopping by Harris’ House of Heroes. Both the original and the new 2nd location are great spots to catch a vibe and enjoy a night in the city. They also serve the best wings in Dallas. This is personally one of my favorite sports bars, my brothers at both establishments always show love and show the people a great time.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my engineer J.Tubbs and Kugi Recording studios, me and my engineer got the dopest chemistry in the studio. I’m not sure if it’s because we’ve recorded and made music together when we was younger in high school or what but our studio sessions are golden and his studio sound quality is top tier. He also gets me right when I need beats, he’s my go to guy with my music he has a unique ear for it.
