We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Cruz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I wanted to be like Skrillex, create my own tracks disregarding genres, make edits, dj them live, travel, have a custom studio….Shieee highkey i still wanna be like Skrillex lolololll

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I dont have a genre I stick to. Sometimes I’ll be in the mood to sound design and make some heavyy Trap, next day I may feel like making some feel good house music or sometimes I may wanna express how I’m feeling and make some hip hop or smooth rnb vibes. You never know what to expect from me and my releases. I believe that’s what makes me unique and what separates me from other producers and artist in this industry, so don’t snooze on me! Check out my latest EP release titled “Hoodbop Vol. 2” to hear exactly what I mean.

Ive been working on a RnB Project titled “Look what U done” since then that i’m really anxious about! I’m not Jay-z so yo boii been going through some girl problems loll but I wanted to bring the “trap soul” sound back with this one. This project is hella influenced by Bryson tiller and Drake so i’m excited to see how my current fans and future fans relate and take it!

Dont worry though, I plan on dropping some collab projects with Physixx, Ql1x, Buzzjunior and Bailo for all my bass heads so buckle up and stay tuned!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lets say they come down on a Monday. The first thing we are doing is hitting the studio to create some bops! Damn near spend the whole day at the studio and order some pizza to keep cooking!! Tuesday comes around and we got to hit big city wings for their two for one wings special and $3 dollars mimosas lol Then head back to the studio to create! Wednesday we take a trip out to Kemah to ride jet skis, fish and visit my bruhda who owns a bar near the area called “cocos on the canal”. Wake up mid afternoon Thursday and head back to the studio until its time to pull up on my bruhda Bruce Waine djing at “Standard bar” then get some bomb tacos right up the street. The Weekend comes and I gotta take them shopping at the galleria, visit the art museums and also hit up the hip hop vintage flea market. Last day we finalize what we made during the week at the studio and treat our self’s for the last meal at Benihanas! BooM.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
