We had the good fortune of connecting with Jayda Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jayda, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always had the creative mindset, loved exploring, and making memories that last. Growing up I had the idea photography would be fun and a great way to meet awesome people and families. I never took that idea seriously considering photography can be expensive at times. Back in 2015 I received a Nikon for Christmas and started taking it everywhere with me. From the gas station to Nashville, TN, it never left my side. I started taking photography seriously once I realized I was having fun and making money at the same time. I built my own website, started a print store, started pushing my content out daily, and had fun doing it! I love photography and I will always keep chasing that dream and pursuing my creative career!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Something I’m most proud of is seeing all the adventures I get to take and the opportunities I have with my job. Something thats always excited me is seeing beautiful smiles and getting to capture people and create timeless memories that will last them forever. It wasn’t easy getting where I’ve made it. It has definitely had its challenges. There were many sleepless nights, 2am editing sessions, the wrath of people when their pictures didn’t turn out the way they wanted them to. Something that gets me through it is learning to slow down and take it one step at a time. Don’t keep adding to your plate when you haven’t finished what’s on it already. I’ve learned, when I do that I start spilling everywhere and dropping what’s not finished. When it comes to people who aren’t enjoying their pictures, I’ve learned to be a listener and have an ear for what they’d prefer. Be understanding. I want my business to have a fun environment when working together and have lots of laughs and smiles. Photography is not the only thing I do. I’m also a Content Creator, Social Media Manager, Singer, and your local load of laughter! I’m always up for new adventures and going different places!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d go to the old Prison Break set next to the Fort Worth Stockyards for some cool pics! A few other neat places for some pictures or fun sights to see is Inspiration Alley, Soma, Magnolia Ave, Fort Worth Water Gardens, Trinity Park, AT&T District, Reunion Tower, Dallas & Fort Worth Zoo, Ect.

Some really good places to eat is Coco Shrimp, Ober Here, Loro Dallas, Salsa Limon, Hop Daddy, Velvet Taco, Cane Rosso, and so much more.

Now, a coffee lover on the other hand… I believe DFW has some of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to! You’ve got so many options like Cherry Coffee Shop, Avoca, White Rhino, Sons Coffee, Pax and Beneficia, Crude, Vaquero, Arcadia, Brewed, Railcar, and way to many more to count!

If you’re in for some shopping some of my personal favorite local shops are Shop Fort Worth Locals, Gifted, Greenhouse 817, Winton and Waits, Tribe Alive, Wanderer, Wag (for the doggie lovers), Panther City Vinyl, and tons more!

If you’re one for the downtown views, I love Tandy Hills, Martin House Brewing, The Amon Carter Museum, Trinity Park, Reunion Tower, Chase Tower, Trinity Groves, Trinity Overlook, The White Rock Lake Park, Ect.

There are so many places for everyone to visit in DFW but these are some of my favorites!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family! My family has been super supportive while I chase my wild photography dreams. Whether them referring me to a potential client or purchasing a print off of my print store. I’d also like to thank Darah Hubbard for putting in time and elbow grease to teach me the ways to get the best shots. My pictures would be completely different and I’d probably be clueless on how to do some of the stuff I do now. From getting the angle just right, to staying up late at night to help me figure out how to use Adobe Photoshop. Everyone has played a part in my journey but I’d like to thank them specifically.
