We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I had to. It’s who I am. I’m a song writer, singer and drummer. These creative outlets are nonnegotiable for me to exist. I run a recording studio in Dallas called Digital Fish Media in order to work with other aspiring artist. I love to produce, engineer and mix for up and coming artists. I’ve worked with Dallas artists such as “The Robot Bonfire” and “My Phantom Limb.”
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have a passion for creating the music that is constantly rattling around in my head. I feel that I am different in that I’m not trying to win you over. I’m just writing and producing music that I love. If you love it too… that’s a bonus.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would go somewhere that we could listen to great music, drink amazing whiskey and smoke fine cigars.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God put these talents and desires in me and my parents love and support are what enabled me to build my confidence and to pursue my music creating dreams. My wife, Tanya is a huge supporter of my dreams and also seems to like the music I produce… so that’s good! Them along with countless musical influences have helped to shape me and my creativity.
