We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I have never feared taking a risk with owning my own business. Sure, there is always that thought in the back of your mind if you fail or don’t succeed, especially if you have a family to take care of. The way I see it you have two choices, keep safe and continue to work for someone else and let them control your future income, “which is that really safe?”, or step out of your comfort zone and follow your passion to live this one life you’re given based on the decisions you make for yourself. I truly believe that we are all given a specific talent to own our own business, unfortunately most people just lack the passion and drive to make it happen. The risk I have taken has cost me almost everything I have owned, but it has also taught me more about who I am as a person. Many sleepless nights, working till 2 am, that little voice in the back of your head saying “what are you doing?”. bottom line is, you can’t quit.
What should our readers know about your business?
I felt like there was a need for a business that could treat pain and inflammation without the drugs, shots, and surgery that some doctors push for. So I developed a systematic approach to addressing all types of injuries with balancing out the muscular system and using a combination of advanced technology that addresses inflammation at 2 different levels, muscular and joint. We use this system on all types of pain from youth to elderly patients. We also work with a number of athletes from high school, collegiate, too professional. Besides the muscular protocols we have in place for inflammation, what really sets us a part from other therapeutic solutions is that most of our patients leave feeling 80% better after the first session and 95 to 100% healed by the 5th. We work to address the issue that started you in the direction of causing you pain, not try to mask it with a shot that will only lead to the issue getting worse.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Legacy West has a lot of options for great food and and entertainment, I would definitely plan a night there with friends and family. Another great option is all the venues for professional sports, I’m a big fan of the Dallas Stars, so I always enjoy taking in a hockey game when they play at home.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A big shoutout goes to my mom for always encouraging me to not give up. Like most mom’s, she has looked past all my imperfections and saw the potential in me.
