We had the good fortune of connecting with James Scroggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi James, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be about my service to people. I go above and beyond to make sure every person I encounter receives the best version of me.

What should our readers know about your business?
Starting a moving company without a moving truck sounded far fetched. However four years later, I have still managed to remain in the moving industry. I started out with two of my cousins and we created a LLC together named Elite Moving and Delivery. After two years of growing the business together we decided it was time for a change. I sat down with Daniel Kinnel, Owner of New Life Movers and we came up with a plan to fully promote one brand and pour all of our efforts, resources and attention into New Life Movers. We bridge the gap between customer service and providing a quality moving service that fully protects and insures our clients items.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s so many places to go in the DFW area we might need a full month to cover every area! I would take them to Mercado Juarez in Arlington Tx for authentic Mexican food, they have the best salsa in the metroplex. The at&t stadium is about 15-20 minutes away from Mercado Juarez and we could schedule a tour to visit the stadium. I would drive them around to see six flags and hurricane harbor. I would take them to Downtown Dallas after the sun went down so they could enjoy the Dallas Skyline. I would let them choose a spot to eat near downtown Dallas because there are so many! I would have to take them out to Frisco to enjoy legacy hall and walk the strip!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents have always encouraged me to be different and chase my dreams. My faith in God would always get me through tough situations and trials. My favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me “
