We had the good fortune of connecting with Jai Woods and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jai, why did you pursue a creative career?
I had to. Its a huge part of who I am. I’ve tried other career paths but I was miserable. They were just jobs, I was going through the motions each day not being fulfilled.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
WoodWorks Ent is about more than just sound and music. We are about people and relationships. Thats how I’m able to run a referral based operation. A percentage of each event goes toward outreach and giving back. We feed the homeless, adopt high school seniors and have even started a scholarship. I’ve stayed true to who I am and have done everything with honesty and integrity. Im dedicated to supporting the people and trying to inspire the next generation.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
For food, I love the vibe and food at Razzoos and Jamaican Gates. Mercado Juarez and Pizza Joe are delicious too. For entertainment, a concert at the Theatre in Grand Praire or a day at Six Flags. Hurricane Harbor, Texas Live!, Globe Life Field and ATT Stadium depending on the time of year would also be on the list. Maybe spend a day in Arlington Hoghlands. There are plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment all in one place.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and dad for a solid foundation, my wife and kids for unwavering love and support, and everyone who has booked with me, recommended me to someone or donated to a cause.
