Meet Ishmael Omondi | #1 Real Estate Agent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ishmael Omondi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ishmael, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Behind starting my Real Estate business my passion was to help people and touch lives of orphans and children. This is my biggest why on my business. I believe that if we can touch the next generation with all means we can make this world a better place indeed. As an orphan myself I had to find a way to survive and for me to do that, I had to sell popsicles in order to survive. My life growing up was tough and I made it my why to touch people lives and Real Estate has made a big impact in my career to enable me to change lives. The Real Estate Industry has also given me the ability to educate and uplift people who don’t understand the importance of investments. Buying a property in itself is a path to create wealth for the next generation. I advise clients on the buying and selling process so that they comprehend the process. I take care of all the negotiations and make sure they are very well represented. My clients are my number one priority and I give them 100% representation and make sure that they are satisfied.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a Real Estate Agent I have the best services for my clients. When I have a buyer I make sure that he/she understands all the criteria like credit, DTI etc. that they need to qualify for a loan and find homes that fits their needs. Location! is the most important thing for my clients and I make sure we find a house or an office at their preferred location. Once this is done I get on to my negotiation skills and get the property closed for them. For my Sellers I make sure I get them highest and best offer and guide them with the selling process without having any stress. To be where I am today in my career was really challenging and I had to make sure that client trust and believe in my service. It took time just like any other business to start off from an early stage but my memo was NEVER GIVE UP! From a young age I had nothing and my only way was to work hard and make it in life and help my family and community. Coming from Kenya in poverty I managed to work hard get a basketball scholarship and graduate with a Bachelor’s at Dallas Baptist University and Master’s degree at West Texas A&M. The education has propelled me to be a successful realtor to comprehend my client needs and satisfy them. I have learnt through all my challenges that you need to believe that dreams do come true and every goal is accomplished through hard work and focus. Over the years I have established myself as an International Realtor which has set me apart from other Real Estate Agents. I work with foreign investors and sell most of their properties. I started Real Estate in Dubai and my market was in Marina, Jumeirah and Al Barsha where I made great network. At this time I have a property in the middle of France and Switzerland that is selling for $65 Million and we are actively looking for interested buyers willing to offer this amount and get this beautiful property in the middle of two countries. My goal is also to help diaspora to be able to understand process of buying and selling properties as most foreigners do not understand. I also engage with foreigners who are not in the country to invest in the USA and know that process. For them to understand Citizenship through investment they can be able to invest and obtain this benefits. I want the world to know that am the best Real Estate Agent and I will get deals done! because I am an agent who will never give up until I get the task of buying or selling accomplished
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As an International Realtor one of the best places to go for sight seeing is Guilin, China which has beautiful mountains. this place looked like a paradise and they have beautiful homes there. The next place I would suggest is Dubai though its hot but you will never forget the experience especially the ‘desert safari’ which is a lifetime experience. To see most of the city you would need to use Big Bus tours to take you around and you can get to the Palm Jumeirah the man made land in the middle of the ocean with million dollar properties. When you go to Dubai you want to also go to the top of Burj Khalifa which is the tallest building in the world and it is amazing if you aren’t scared of heights. Lastly, you want to go visit Kenya in Africa which is full of beautiful wildlife and by going to the National Parks you would be surprised to see this animals at a little closer range. Giraffe manor is a great experience where you will have a room in the middle of giraffes which will peek at you window in the mornings to enjoy your breakfast.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I would want to thank Texas Realtors for recognizing me for their 100th year anniversary of the 100 Acts of Kindness both locally and globally. Being a real estate agent is a dream and privilege. Am thankful for the support of Texas Realtors organization and its members. The Acts of kindness is nomination of those who make an impact in their communities. My biggest why in life is to touch lives and that has been a big focus for me through Real Estate. Second I want to thank all of my clients who have given me the opportunity to help them in buying and selling properties. Without my clients it wouldn’t be possible for me to give 10% of my earnings to the orphans and children who need it. I make sure this children have all the necessities that they need so that they may be able to succeed in future. Thirdly I want to thank Big Dream Vision members who have stood with me in touching lives of orphans and children. This members go above and beyond to make sure that the work we are doing is accomplished. Our members Germaine, Janet, Phyllis, Evelyn, Sheila, Frank, Oscar, Dan and Kevin thank you from the bottom of my heart. Fourthly I would like to thank my pastor Dr. Dwight McKissic of the Cornestone Baptist Church in Arlington, Tx. for his mentorship and wisdom in my life and all its members. With faith nothing is impossible and God has been the core of my life to continue doing his work! Lastly I would like to thank my family and friends who have always supported me. My beautiful wife Ashley Omondi has been with me through thick and thin and I thank God for her love and encouragement through all my entire career.
