We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaiah Henderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaiah, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
I am happy to have a successful business that is making money. This allows me to be able to buy things for myself so my parents can save their money.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Iceys Koolaid Pickles and Pineapples is set apart by our unique flavors. For example we have a Ja-Melon flavor that many customers have to ask what it is. It is because of my parents support that I am in this professional position now. It was not easy, but family support is everything when challenges come along. I’m involved in the entire process from choosing the flavor list to keeping the books. I’ve learned if I work hard, I can see rewards. I want other kids to know it takes hard work to be able to make money for yourself and you can start now.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would go see a Dallas Mavericks game at the stadium. We would try out some Apple Cider from Cidercade. I would take them to eat at Razoos. Afterwards, we would chill at home and play video games.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To my Dad because he creates the flavors that our customers love. To my Mom because she creates the graphics, particularly the logo our customers recognize.
To Aunt Ashley because she gave me the nickname Icey.
