We had the good fortune of connecting with Hana Delong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hana, why did you pursue a creative career?
Artistry and creativity are ways where you can express yourself that are not always conventional. You can be your true self. It speaks to me and cannot see myself doing it any other way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always loved drawing and doing art projects so when I started building furniture and things for my home it just made sense. When I put my mind to something I want to just do it. I feel like creating is apart of me. Whether it’s with dancing or in me creating these different projects I do. I am so excited about how my house is going to come together. It is like my own personal canvas.

It hasn’t necessarily been easy to get where I am at. I am still in shock when anyone asks me to build anything for them. It just makes me happy to see them happy with the finished product. This is a forever learning experience. I learn new things and try and improve each and every time I complete a project.
I just want people to know that I genuinely put my all in what I do. I truly enjoy giving people the exact product they want or making it even better.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would show them Bishop Arts. It’s a great funky area with cute boutiques and restaurants. My favorite place for brunch is Nova. They have great mimosas and are super friendly it’s a very chill relaxed vibe. I also love Liberty Burger in Lakewood, they have great burgers and for all diets and a bar. Lastly Deep ellum is a cool area. Beautiful art along the walls that are gorgeous during the day as well as some cool sculptures. Also some great places to eat. At night there are tons of clubs but gets pretty packed so have to get there early.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents for always supporting me in whatever I do. They back me up in any endeavor that I take on and it is such a blessing to have such amazing and constant support
