We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Arnold and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erin, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Ive never seen myself working in an office setting for my career. Growing up Ive always thrived in art/creative courses. It only made sense to continue doing things that resonated with creativity. It isnt easy being an owner because some days I just want to create and not have to think of labels or pricing or promoting. Its all satisfying in the end when everything is packaged and labeled for my amazing customers!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Im still no where near where I’d like to be. My goal by winter is I’ll be making $3000/mo with my business so I can stop working gig jobs and do what I really love
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The places im lisiting are places I’d take a friend or recommended to someone visiting Dallas/DFW Area for the first time. Not listed in order
Whiskey Cake, La Villita, A1 Indian Grill
Hawaiian Bros, Oni Ramen
Firebirds, Ichiro, Greenville Street Tacos
Places to drink: Cidercade, The Free Man, Harwood Tavern, Twilite Lounge
Visit/hang: Dallas Arboretum, Cidercade, the Free Man, Rainbow Vomit, Harwood Tavern, Crowdus Bar
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Mike and my mother. They are my top supporters and I always go to them for advice and they both have been tremendous with helping me on this journey. Im thankful they are in my life
