We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m am from Dallas Texas, Oakcliff area, my mother was a young single mother my great grandparents and grandmother helped raise me. I was taught I could do anything through Christ who strengths me. I always felt like I was special and I had a purpose and I was good at a lot of things which made it hard to really focus. My personality is very strong I was the only child growing up. My family always made a way for me and I grew up with a lot of love which I am truly thankful for. My family is very giving so of course I grew up to be the same I’d give my last to help people and especially the people I love.

What should our readers know about your business?
So Bratty is an all around one stop shop, Hair, Skin & Nails , it’s what I like to think of as a happy place. What sets me aside from others is this is not about money me being rich I really enjoy doing this I always have it’s my passion. I’m proud because this has always been my dream even the name. When I was in 7th grade I created this vision. It has been a struggle trying to build my brand because I’m home-based and the vision is to be a big space and make it a franchise and I have so many different things I want to offer , like daycare for my employers that’s fully covered by me, I want to offer classes, and target people straight out of school. I know how hard it can be getting out there. It goes so much deeper I don’t want to spill to much lol. I’m learning that no matter if no one supports me and not like my pictures Or even repost I gotta keep pushing I can’t let that get me down. I want everyone to remember the name So Bratty because one day it will be one if the biggest around the world in Jesus name .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I’m not a party kinda girl anymore lol, one place I truly love is the harbors at Rockwell it’s so relaxing and pretty, I love kylde warren park especially when the food trucks was out. But my bestie know I love crab legs so I’m down to try new seafood places that offer plenty of good crab legs lol. So basically the whole week we gonna be eating and shopping, and chilling.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for my mother and grandmother anytime I wanted to pursue something they was always investing in whatever I wanted to do they see my vision. My kids and soon to be husband keeps me motivated when I look at them it makes me go harder because I would to see my career and dreams take off. I have a few supportive friends that also supported me with things I wanted to do and one in particular was my Jackie whether I was selling lip gloss or needed a model she was coming lol . My pumpkin always give me encouraging words and helped me realize that I needed to get closer with god for my plan to be successful My sis Tarra all the late nights I cried and spoke my dreams and all she always encouraged me to get back on track and push through.
