Meet Dylan Lueking | Entrepreneur / Director of Marketing & Strategy

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dylan Lueking and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dylan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The people I’ve surrounded myself with—both good and bad—have shaped my journey. The good ones guided me toward becoming a better version of myself, while the bad ones showed me exactly what I didn’t want to be. One of the most influential figures in my success has been my friend and brother, Jerry Hernandez. Having him as a mentor made a huge impact. Before my current venture, we launched a company called SIMOO—**Success Is My Only Option**—which taught me invaluable lessons about design, website development, business management, and marketing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
From Every Step to Success: My Journey to Professional Growth
Starting out in life, I felt this immense pressure to be great right away. I thought success meant figuring it all out in the moment. But little did I know, every job—whether it was my dream or not—was a necessary step toward becoming the person I am today.
Even now, I don’t see myself as perfect or exactly where I want to be, but I can say with certainty that I’ve grown into more of the person I always envisioned. My journey started with adversity, navigating life without the financial stability or family structure that some had. But I made up for that in the relationships I built, the experiences I embraced, and the resilience I developed along the way.
As I moved through life, I took on opportunities in graphic design, marketing, and working for companies in creative ways. I even dabbled in modeling and spent time as a GM in the restaurant industry. That role, however, made me realize it wasn’t what I truly wanted. That’s when CIMU came into my life, leading me deeper into website building and graphic design.
Then, life threw another shift my way—fatherhood. With the responsibility of raising my son, I needed something more stable, so I turned to insurance sales. But even then, I knew I was still on my way to something bigger.
Now, in 2025, I’ve been given the opportunity of a lifetime—stepping into the role of Chief Marketing Executive at iPyramids. Looking back, every job, every challenge, and every detour led me here. All the skills I developed along the way—creativity, leadership, marketing, and resilience—have come together in one place.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that your journey won’t always be a straight path to your dream job. Sometimes, the jobs you never expected to take are the ones that shape you the most. Every obstacle is part of the process, and every step—no matter how small—leads you closer to the ultimate version of yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In my younger days—especially throughout my 20s—I spent a lot of time going out, drinking, and experiencing the nightlife. At the time, I saw it as a bit of a wild phase, but looking back, it was also a key part of my growth. Being out in those environments introduced me to so many different people, expanding my network and shaping my vision of the person I wanted to become.
Some of my best experiences came from nights in Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum, and the club scene, but it wasn’t just about the nightlife. I also had the opportunity to work alongside Mike Zimmer, helping create festivals and working on music events—experiences that deepened my appreciation for creativity, community, and event production.
Dallas has always had a great mix of good drinks, live music, and unforgettable energy, and I definitely made the most of it.
These days, life looks a little different. I’ve traded the late nights for early mornings at the gym, time with my son, and focusing on my career. Now, my idea of a good night is a solid workout, a great meal, and enjoying a good movie at home. It’s been a shift, but every chapter has played a role in getting me to where I am today.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve already talked about my friends and mentors, but my family deserves just as much recognition—if not more. I have a fiancée and a one-year-old son at home, and they are the heart of everything I do. Without them, I wouldn’t have pushed myself to take the risks necessary to become the person I’ve always envisioned.
My fiancée has been my rock, offering unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in my vision, even when things felt uncertain. She reminds me of my potential and keeps me grounded, pushing me to stay focused and keep moving forward. My son, on the other hand, has given me a whole new sense of purpose. Knowing that he’s watching me, learning from my actions, and depending on me to build something meaningful for our family makes every challenge worth it.
I knew I needed a push to step outside my comfort zone, to take the risks that would lead to real growth, and they have given me that and so much more. They fuel my determination, remind me why I started, and make every sacrifice worthwhile. At the end of the day, my success isn’t just for me—it’s for them, and that makes all the difference.
