We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr, Sam Raza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr, Sam Raza, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I was born and raised in London. I have had the privilege of going to medical school at one of the most prestigious medical schools in London. I had my medical school graduation at the Royal Albert Hall in London, which was an amazing venue to become a doctor. I have also had the great privilege to train at a number of wonderful institutions across the world which have shaped me into the Cardiologist that I am today. On a personal note, I come from a family of physicians and have seen working physicians in both of my parents who are dedicated to the medical profession and taking care of others. I have two younger sisters who are both physicians and so medicine runs in my blood. I have seen through my experiences with my own family members, the level of dedication and service that is takes to be a compassionate physician which is gratifying when it comes to taking care of people. I have enjoyed Cardiology and found interesting from an early stage in my career and this passion has helped guide me to wear I am today.

What should our readers know about your business?
Dr. Raza has her own Cardiology practice in Dallas, located in Plano. Her office is located at 4708 Alliance Blvd, Suite 500, Dallas, Texas, 75093 where she sees patients every day and provides patient-centered care in a single location.

The journey to success requires much hard work, grit, determination and resilience. It has presented itself with challenges along the way, but I always think of the hurdles as opportunities to learn something new, grow or adapt to become even better for the future. I am a lifelong learner and I enjoy learning new things, my patient’s share their lives with me and it is the most humbling privilege to be a part of their lives and care for them.

I am passionate about caring for people’s hearts, I have dedicated my entire life to it. I have a passion for imaging of the heart and particularly echocardiography which is a specialized form of imaging of the heart. I am visual person and I am fortunate to use my strengths and skills in a way that helps others which I find so fulfilling.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many amazing places in Dallas. I am huge foodie and love supporting small businesses or discovering a new place with great food! I am sushi-lover and one of my favorite places is Uchi. I also love Highland Park Village for the great restaurants that they have and wonderful ambience. Another fun place for great shopping is NorthPark Mall which has great people and fun activities for the whole family.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family including my two wonderful parents and my husband have been absolutely essential in supporting me in my success today. I have two young children who have been witness to milestone events in my career and have been the driving force, sparking passion and they make me a better doctor. I have also had a wonderful friendship and camaraderie with brilliant colleagues across the entire world from across the United States Europe and beyond. These professional friendships have been gratifying along the course of my career. I am supported by my local community which includes family and wonderful friends.
