We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Rusty Barrier & Dr. Tricia Seymour and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Rusty Barrier &, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We are serial entrepreneurs, so the process generally goes something like this: 1) What is the community missing that we could provide.? 2) Is this something we would enjoy doing? 3) Is this something that can become self-sustaining within 12-18 months? If the answer is Yes to all 3 then we choose to move forward, if not we wait for a new idea to arise.

What should our readers know about your business?
Entelechea Center, our latest endeavor is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting other is moving beyond their limitations and to open up to their full potential. Entelechea is a Greek word that means “Divine Essence Within”, this is what we are guiding people in bringing forth.

We’re very proud of the fact that our center has been immediately embraced by the community and provides 60+ classes/events every month. On a more mundane note, we have made it to breakeven and more within the first year of being in business. Our clientele is continuing to grow as we expand our Wellness services along with the spiritual services.

As I stated earlier, we are serial entrepreneurs so most of the lessons were learned on different businesses and simply applied to this one. I would say that the primary lesson has been to pay attention to the details and be present.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
DFW has so much to offer in the way of museums, parks, restaurants, etc this is a difficult question to answer. We would most likely introduce them to the Food Hall at Legacy West, The Star and depending on the date one of the many Wellness Expos or fairs locally.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
At this point in life there have been so many, in so many different fields.

Rusty’s mentors include, Pir Vilyat Inyat Khan, Dr. Jerry Jampolsky, Dr. Marj Barlow and of course his paternal grandparents.

Tricia’s include, Florence Seymour (Mother), Dr. Steven Vazquez, and many others.
