We had the good fortune of connecting with David De Leon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
“I feel that I have a gift for creating and for finding new approaches in any area or situation. My creative instinct is often guided by a natural-born talent for making art in any form or media —it’s part of my everyday life.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
“I’m passionate about creating something out of nothing—as if by magic—using recycled materials, textures, colors, and paint. I always try to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and the value of recycling.

I decided to start Morart as a platform for expressionism in all its forms and a space for artistic freedom. It’s also an open invitation for more artists to collaborate, with the purpose of building a better society.

The core mission is to help children—locally, statewide, nationally, or globally. I believe we must take care of the new generations; they are the future.

Morart is more than art—it’s a lifestyle. Art is present in everything, every day, every hour, every minute, every second. It’s a way of life.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“I’d like to give credit to destiny for leading me to this place—Dallas, Texas—after emigrating from my hometown, Saltillo, Coahuila, at the age of 21 in search of new horizons and the opportunity to explore new forms of expression, particularly through art. It was here in Dallas that I decided to embark on this creative journey.”
