We had the good fortune of connecting with David Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My end goal for my career is in to be a well established and well respected filmmaker with a very large quantity of quality movies under my belt. It would be great to be cemented among the current greats right now like Stephen Spielberg, Tyler perry, Martin Scorsese, spike Lee, and John singleton along with many others. I want to look back and think I had a nice memorable career full of good moments and fun with the people I worked with.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would say I have always been a creative and imaginative person. I loved tv shows and movies very much at a young age. It even got to the point where I would act out the scenes from the shows I really liked. Then when I was 11, I would write short little sketches to make with my camera. What makes me different from others is my uniqueness and my unique perspective on things in life. Another thing would be how innovative and original I am, and willing to try new things and ideas if it seems fit and like it would be a success. I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished in my career recently, all the way from making two informative documentaries that are being received well by people to getting them published on Tubi recently. by I’ve learned many valuable lessons along the way thus far and I will not stop because I love learning and gaining knowledge. Some words to describe my production company, Impact Films, would be innovative, inspiring, and don’t be afraid to try new things and take risks.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would say downtown Dallas as a great start. I would go to the reunion tower and go all the way to top. I would go to the AT&T discovery district because it is very cool. Deep ellum is a cool area. There are many nice restaurants throughout downtown Dallas. There are adult arcades you could go to. There are alot of nice parks as well. I would like to also say Arlington is a great place to be as that’s where the cowboys stadium and the Rangers stadium is. Arlington also has alot of nice restaurants and shopping places.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank God first and foremost. He reminds me on a daily that he is real and that his favoring and protection is over me. Next, I have a very good and supporting family. My immediate family all the way to my extended family are all great people and supportive. My mom deserves a huge shoutout as she did a great job raising me and teaching me things all while being a single mother. A huge shoutout also goes to the other two women who helped raised me, my aunt and grandma. They did an excellent job helping raise me as well and instilling good values into me, such as treating people well and with respect. Lastly, I would like to shoutout a wonderful group I was in for many years, called Mentoring Brother to Brother. It is a group for African American boys and young men who are being raised by single mothers who could use teachings and advice from Black men on how to be a man, all the mentors I ever came across were great and really cared and were there for you if you needed them.
