We had the good fortune of connecting with David Boyce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Creative ministry and outreach involves many hours and years of diligent work, but like any other expertise this is no surprise. Rejection is a harsh factor as well, but many may not realize how challenging it is to acquire feedback if you’re not idol material.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As the creative developer of Kodministries I’ve spent the last five years providing original high quality ministry resources. Including books, audio, video media, documents and pc video games. Most projects are aimed to explore rare topics or items that lack attention in the Christian community. I’m most excited about the PC game collection made available for positive entertainment and education. Games were some of the most tedious projects as a solo developer. My college education in media arts and professional background in art production prepared me with the needed skills to provide polished work. 20 years of participating in different church ministries including my own gave me the training and experience to properly demonstrate the necessary process to construct Grade A projects. The challenges require time, diligence and a respect for process. I learned that respect can come from the unlikeliest places of people, and if you’re living in purpose you can find satisfaction. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In the Dallas Oak Cliff area our Highland Hills library is a fantastic modern facility that offers many resources including online. Many restaurants are known for their style of cooking chicken, BBQ, and other savory foods like in Deep Ellum and Bishop Arts District. Many parks have trails and in the summer some have water attractions for the kids. Museums, exhibits, zoos and aquariums can all be reached with our local Dart train system that runs throughout most parts of town.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for aiding me with a vision of purpose, supportive family members and acquiescence that saw the value in my dedication. Years of pushing positive projects with encouraging themes and high quality experiences. Hopefully the resources will have a transformational influence on family and individuals who care about creative faith-based projects.
