Meet Darian Patwal | Content Creator & Micro-Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Darian Patwal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Darian, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have been documenting my whole life through photos and videos ever since I got a phone. I love to use my content as a “time capsule” per se and give my future self something to look back on. I love that I am able to put my creations out into the world and leave my mark. On a personal level, my grandpa suffered from Alzheimer’s and losing my precious memories is my biggest fear. This career gives me a way to document the things I love doing and people that I love in a way that I can look back on in the future.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work revolves around sharing my life of health & wellness, beauty, and lifestyle. It was not easy to get where I am today. It took a ton of self reflection and confidence in myself to put my creations out into the world. I have learned a few things along the way. First, quality over quantity. I can pump out video after video, but if the quality is not there, it will not resonate with my audience in the way I intend it to. Second, staying authentic to myself is so important. I have tried to follow trends and change myself to what society thinks is the perfect “influencer” but I keep coming back to my true self and the things that I love. I have learned that being authentic and honest will encourage trustworthiness and confidence in myself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would absolutely take them to a Pilates class at my favorite studio in Frisco – S2S Functional Performance. I love sharing my love of Pilates with others!
A trip to the Legacy West area would also be on the list. My best friends are from back home (the Midwest) and we don’t really have anything that compares. Seeing all of the huge designer brands and the plethora of people is such a fun environment to be in.
To eat, we’d visit Chennai Cafe in Frisco. I am absolutely obsessed with Indian food and the buffet here offers so many varieties of food that aren’t offered at home!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, I want to shoutout my younger self. If it wasn’t for her love for taking photos and videos, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Also, I want to shoutout my family and husband, who support me in all aspects of my life (no matter how crazy it seems)!
