We had the good fortune of connecting with Danni White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danni, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I don’t really like the word “balance” because I don’t feel like there ever is a balance in work or in life. I do feel that there are “priorities,” and there are times when work may take up more time than family, and family may take more time than work, or fitness might be the top priority at times, while rest may take up top priority at other times. I think when we try to balance everything, we end up balancing nothing. Work and life are more of a yo-yo: sometimes it’s up, and sometimes it’s down, and I am learning to be okay with that. I’ve learned that only one thing can be at the top at all times. Two things at the top create a dangerous monster that eventually becomes unmanageable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
DW Creative Consulting Agency is a digital marketing company based in Frisco, Texas, that focuses on helping professional service companies and nonprofits grow their organizations, gain visibility and increase revenue through branding, content marketing, web design, and social media. I started this business a little over three years because I have a passion for helping businesses grow, and one of the most critical areas is in marketing and visibility. Without visibility, it is hard to attract and retain new clients, customers, and fans. The biggest lesson I have learned in building a business is that there has to be a level of contentment while you grow. The bar is always moving, and unless you are able to stay grateful, disciplined, and focused along the way, it is very easy to get distracted and feel like you’re missing out on something better.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take them to the Dallas Aquarium (I think it’s pretty cool). Also, to do some shopping and easting at Legacy West and Shops of Legacy. I’d also take them to downtown McKinney for some unique finds as well as to the Frisco Star. If they’re upscale and want more high-end shopping, I’d take them Allen Outlet Mall or Shops of Highland Park. For food, I’d have to say Haywire, Dakota’s Steakhouse, and Hutchins BBQ are some of my favorites.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My first and only boss is the person I’ve learned the most from, especially in business. He is a business owner, has a very outgoing personality, and is hard super working. He knows a lot about a lot, and I learned a lot from him. Much of what I know about business today, I learned from him directly and indirectly.
