We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Wanat and Madison Cherveny and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle & Madison, what do you want your legacy to be?
We want our legacy to be entirely about Sunshine. We chose that to be our brand because it entirely represents the warmth, joy, and positive energy we radiate in our community. Danni and I truly have found our passions in life and we just want to share that love with anyone and everyone that decides to join us in this experience.

With every treat and drink delivered, we want our customers to remember the Sunshine experience as a positive and inviting experience. We want to be remembered for being a bright spot on a cloudy day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
For us, it all started with our individual dreams. Danni has had her dream of running her own bakery for nearly all of her life, and Madi’s passion is definitely in entrepreneurship and coffee (lots of coffee). Together, sharing in those passions, we came up with our brand ‘Sunshine” – the idea of radiating that joy and energy with others!

Starting anything new is always going to bring challenges, and is definitely by no means easy, but our focus is always going to be on the next step and how we can move forward to make our dream of having a brick-and-mortar shop a reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, as we are each other’s best friends, we would probably take us out for a nice luncheon at Joe’s Pizza Italian Cuisine & Bar off of Gran Via Street. That’s always been a solid dining experience for us, and they have Gluten Free options for Madi.

Weirdly enough, we’re kind of homebodies and enjoy learning new skills or crafts. For example, Danni has given an A+ effort in trying to learn Madi how to paint, and Madi has shown Danni a few chords on the guitar! We’ve done baking and decorating classes together, mostly to catch Madi up to Danni’s talents, at places like ‘All For Your Cakes’ Sweets and Treats in Lewisville which was fun. The next new thing we’re trying out is crocheting which has been tabled for a minute because things have been really kicking off for Sunshine!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout-out to SW Food Truck Gigs owner Ana Rabicoff Lim. She has been a wonderful support and advocate for food truckers in Fort Worth TX and has been incredibly encouraging for us as we have started out on this journey. Between her and the wonderful connections we have made at Lone Star Kitchen, our commissary, the support within the food trucking community in Fort Worth has been incredible. We have felt welcomed and supported by our fellow Food Truckers!

Of course, all of the love and support from our family has been amazing as well. For every time we’ve asked someone to test out a recipe, attend a soft opening event, drive the truck to us, whatever has been asked, the answer has been met by our people.
