Hi Courtney, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
My mantra, ‘Strong opinions, loosely held,’ guides me to fiercely advocate for my beliefs while remaining open to change. This balance ensures I don’t let my opinions define me, enabling swift adaptation in response to setbacks.

What should our readers know about your business?
The company was founded to solve a gap in the market by driving innovation in the category and pairing two better-for-you options together. Pre-S+B, the tanning category was mostly dangerous tanning beds and orange-looking spray booths.
We set out to innovate by offering a safe solution made from beets, water, and bronzer that is hand-airbrushed on clients in a welcoming Mediterranean setting. As the business grew, we introduced sugaring. Sugaring is all-natural (just lemon, sugar, and water) and is the only all-natural hair removal method on the market. It’s better for the skin than waxing or shaving and lasts longer.
