We had the good fortune of connecting with Corinthian Elizabeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corinthian, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be one of love. I want to be remembered for spreading genuine and unconditional love to everyone that had an interaction with me or my business in any way. I want to leave here knowing that I made a difference in the lives of others, created lasting change, amazing art, and served my purpose to the fullest extent by using the gifts that the Creator gave to me to the best of my ability. Most importantly I want my children and the generations to come to be full of love and the teachings that I shared with them to pass on to others and serve their purpose to the fullest extent as well. I want to be remembered for my aura and the light that I strive to shine daily.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an intuitive healing artist, certified life coach, educator, and speaker. Here recently, I became a bestselling author with my debut book, “The Book of Corinthian Chapter One: Beauty in the Bayou”. I share my gifts of art and healing with others in our community through my business, The Book of Corinthian LLC. I also share my gifts with my students. I teach middle school art and I also teach my students how to practice mindfulness. If I had to define myself as an artist, I would say that I am a self-taught artist as my gifts come from above, open up The Book of Corinthian where every page is filled with love. The Book of Corinthian LLC is my business but it is also an extension and a reflection of who I am. There are different chapters and pages in my book. I do not limit myself by putting me or my art in a box. I paint, rap, write books, do poetry, make jewelry, design clothes and accessories, create custom healing kits, provide custom healing services, and I teach various classes on mindfulness, meditation, spirituality, health, wellness, and more. I am also the creator of the Backpacks and Hairwraps podcast and The Book of Corinthian blog. I’m adding more pages to my book each day as each new chapter unfolds. I’m forever evolving and that is reflected in my art and business. That’s what I am most excited about. I love the fact that as I continue on my journey, I grow as an artist, evolve, and create the new. How did I get to where I am today, professionally? The short answer would have to be through failure, surrender, and trust. The long answer would be, really getting in tune with who I am spiritually and gaining a deeper understanding of self has led me to this path of entrepreneurship through my gifts as an artist. I do talk more in depth about my struggles in my latest book “The Book of Corinthian Chapter One: Beauty in the Bayou”. The way that I overcame these challenges is through shadow work and confronting my fears, weaknesses, and insecurities. The biggest lesson that I have learned is that love wins every time. That’s also what I would like for the world to know about my brand is that love is the answer as love heals all.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh wow. This question shows that I am a homebody or at least I have been for the past 5 years since starting my journey with motherhood. I would have to say that we would go to Deep Ellum, The Arts District, Buzz Brews, Tropical Smoothie for drinks, and the Galleria.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, Jarvis (also known as RoseDupree) does. He has been supportive of my entire journey while loving me through the good, bad, highs, lows, smiles, and tears. He’s been an amazing father to our three children while encouraging me to follow my dreams and align with my purpose. My three children, Jarvis Jr., Legend Ezekiel, and Freedom Elizabeth have all given me drive, ambition, and a sense of love to complete my mission during my time here on planet earth. I am also grateful for my students at Atwell Middle School who’ve also given me drive and confirmation that the vision that the Creator gave to me is right on time. The children are our future and I’m grateful that I’ve been gifted with the ability to connect with them on an intuitive level. It is my prayer that they continue to pave the way to create a better world full of love, light, and new freedoms for us all.
