We had the good fortune of connecting with Corey Culton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was “Faith over Reality”. I know that my reality probably needed to be changed and I knew there was more to me than what only I could see. I manage to take a step of faith during uncertainty in my life and trust God every step of the way. A lot of times I believe our reality hold us back on accomplishing our goals, dreams, and what we want out of life, but with a mindset that “no matter what imma going to give it my all “ & “trust the process” has gotten my through a lot of my toughest moment while being in business for myself!

What should our readers know about your business?
I believe what sets Van Alstyne Nutrition apart from other local businesses, is that we strive on making your visit an experience over your normal customer service. We get to know our community that we are in by making and positive impact, getting involved & giving back as much as possible. I’m in the business to make you a happier & healthy person, so I want you to feel that each time you walk into any of my clubs, that you are excited for the day or just the fact you woke up to see another day!

“We are here to put a smile on your face and joy in your heart, one cup at a time.

I’m and excited and most proud to honesty be doing something that I once thought to be just an imaginary, and one day goal of mine. To be doing it at the age 28 years old is a blessing in its self. Everyday I get to impact someone’s life with something positive!

How I got to where I am now is “Mindset”. You have to create the mindset that you going to give everything your got to make it happen, to make your Dream into a reality, to turn your situation around. No, this wasn’t a easy process at all. I had to to over come a lot of life changes and do a lot of Personal Development! With out my faith, support system, changing my mindset, and believing that “it’s just a moment, and like all moments it get better”. I wouldn’t have been able to face each challenge without having that mindset of “I CAN & I WILL”

Lesson I have learn along the way is you have to be willing to face the storm of life face on and know that no matter what “ put you best foot forward no matter what, because one day success will come”. The only thing I want the world to know bout me and my story, is to trust the process of God and known in due time everything your heart desire will come!! Stay working hard, stay believing, keep trusting, & no matter what keep going, because it will pay off soon, and very soon!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay so believe it or not I’m not the best at this because I tend to visit the same spot and celebrate hard no matter where I’m at, but if it’s a weekend stay cause whole week stay planning stresses me out lol! Friday- we would go catch a happy hour at Zenna downtown, or uptown at Tate’s, than for the night life of course we going out to, Friday night might explore uptown Dallas or go to an Arcade, Cidarade, and just have fun.

Saturday- Might wake up and catch late breakfast early brunch at Moxies or Cafe Brazil, if maybe visit a few malls. Saturday we in Deep Ellum celebrating & enjoy what the night has to offer!

Sunday- it’s a must that I am at church, so we would attend my church Strong Hands Nation Church service, most likely go grab Sunday dinner with my parents and family, and end the weekend on positive and living note.

I’m not much of a go out type of person, but when I do I totally enjoy myself.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I could thank bunch of people we would have a section full of pure gratitude! So the opportunity was present to me by my God Sister Brittany, she has inspired me so much doing this business. From the endless support, and motivation to “push through anything & everything” and constantly reminding me that “If it wasn’t the right decision God wouldn’t have given you the opportunity”. My parents because without their support & constant prayer it wouldn’t be possible! My parents teaches me to “ trust the process of the lord & underhand that it’s life and it comes with uncertainties, but to keep My head l leveled and heart humble.”
