We had the good fortune of connecting with Charity Gooden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charity, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted creative freedom! I yearn for the ability to create without boundaries. I wanted to be uninhibited in my entrepreneur journey!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I really wanted to find my own lane in entrepreneurship. I wanted to create something fun and unique. I’m bold, eclectic, creative and not afraid to stand out:  my business is reflective of my personality! So, during the stillness of Covid, blossomed The Tipsy Bloom! I create fresh flower arrangements that sit on top of full bottles of wine/champagne. I elevate a customer’s wine experience by pairing wine with flowers! I share with the community “The Tipsy Bloom Experience”, which is an interactive workshop where you create your own wine bouquets! As an added bonus, in my quest to bring awareness to my brand, I have inspired others to create wine bouquets all around the world using Instagram and Tiktok!

There are clearly challenges when you are creating a blueprint for something. But, I overcome them by believing in myself, remaining authentic, staying positive and allowing God to continue to guide my path! I manifest the things I want to see in my business, and I celebrate all of my small wins. What I want the world to know is that it is never too late to start something! Stay patient and consistent and don’t give up.

Moving forward, I would love to partner with various wine brands, wine tasting rooms, vineyards, vintners and sommeliers!  I would also like to extend my services by offering exclusive wine bouquets for corporate events and celebrations. If you are looking for something fun, beautiful and unique, you’ve found it here!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love The Star area, Grandscape, The Shops of Legacy and of course downtown Dallas! I would check out some great food throughout the DFW area (you can’t be mislead). There’s plenty of interactive workshops one can find. We would have to catch a happy hour at one of the plethora of restaurants, and maybe even a day party! The nightlife is growing as well, so there are plenty of trendy wine bars, speakeasys, cigar lounges, and reverse happy hour spots!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank my husband and my kids for believing in me, and always being so supportive.  I want to also shout out my mom. She was a stay at home mom of 7 kids! In her “free” time (I use that term loosely) she created flower arrangements with artificial flowers. I truly believe she inspired my gift of fresh floral designs!
