Meet Campbell Fearing | Youth Pastor & Public Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Campbell Fearing and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Campbell, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
I have heard a piece of advice a couple times in my life that goes, “If you can’t find the answer, look within yourself and you’ll find it -” or something to that extent. I disagree. When I look in myself I almost always hear desires in my head. These desires are not always beneficial to myself or others. They could say something like, “smoke that joint” or “rip-off this customer.” Rather, I simply pray to God. From learning about God in the Bible, I learn His ways and His desire for relationship with me. If I need an answer for something, I ask the One who delights to grant me that wisdom. I have learned that God not only cares for my pressing ignorance that needs guidance, but everything – pivotal or inconsequential (1 Peter 5:7).

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most excited about releasing music. It has been a long time coming but the time is almost here. The musical strand of DNA is pretty strong in my dad’s side of the family and am honored to continue carrying the hobby. I wanted to make music that brings honor and glory God but have the eclecticism to sound genuine. In January 2025, look out for “Wake Up” by God Fearing on all music streaming platforms.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Let’s say my cousin Jason was visiting Dallas from his home back in Israel. In Dallas, good food is the big event, everything else just fills in. On the day he landed, we would go to my mother’s sushi restaurant that she co-owns, Shinsei. It is the best sushi in Dallas – no bias at all. For lunch the next day, we would go to the second restaurant my mom co-owns, Lovers Seafood and Market, and eat the holy crap out of some Fish and Chips with coconut crusted, soy glazed shrimp. At some point, we would hit up Six Flags; how could you not when you visit DFW? Many times we would eat tex-mex, so Mias Restaurant would be in order. For dinner on his third to last night in Dallas we would show up for our reservation at Fearing’s Restaurant, my dad’s place. Before Jason arrived in Dallas, though, I would plug in the dusty X-Box One and make sure FIFA was working, along with Call Of Duty: Black Ops Zombies. Let’s just say my brother took a week off from work and came back to Dallas with Jason and I, lots of football would be played! We would take the pig skin to the front yard or a nearby park and run routes with one person as defender. We would alternate between quarterback, defender, and receiver. The last restaurant we would need to hit up is Sonny Bryan’s for some perfectly smoked barbecue ribs.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout Kendall Inman, Jungle Keva owner and entrepreneur, who connected Eric and I. She has been like an aunt to me since I grew up with her son, – one of my closest friends – Jake. She is an amazing chef and has a caring and tender heart for others. She’s not afraid to crack that whip though, make no mistake. But she really is very awesome and sweet, and I was grateful when she provided me with so much healthy, organic, distasteful snacks in the hospital. Ha! But thank you, Kendall. You’re super cool and I also want to thank you for raising such a remarkable friend to me, your son.
