We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cameron, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The bigger the risk the greater the reward. If you really want something you have to make some kind of sacrifice. But once you close one door, another one opens. Every time. And in my experiences that other door always had something greater for me behind it. Taking risks has nothing but benefit my life. Just let go and go for it and stop worrying about being horrible at it. If you stick with it and stay consistent, there’s no telling how great you could be. Trust me, risking a few weekends of going out drinking to stay home and put some time into your own craft, business, brand or whatever it is you’re trying to build, will all be worth it in the end.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’d like to think of myself as an influencer. As long as I’m inspiring and encouraging the next person to be the best person they can be. Once I realized this, there was something that clicked that this is what I’m suppose to be doing. This is my purpose. To motivate, encourage, and inspire others to believe that they deserve to pursue whatever dream or vision it is they have set in their mind. No matter how many times they’ve heard how ridiculous it sounds. I got to where I am today by staying consistent. Consistent in my efforts to learning something new everyday and exploring new depths. It’s not easy overcoming challenges and getting out of your comfort zone, but on the other side of those comfort zones and challenges is where you find growth. Whatever situation you’re faced with, good or bad, was meant for you. So embrace it as such as much as you can. When faced with a difficult or challenging situation just know that if you were not capable of handling it that you wouldn’t be the one having to deal with it in the first place. So learn whatever lesson it is to be learned from it and move on. Just be sure you do learn from it and not make the same mistake. What I would like the world to know about my story is that I am only trying to inspire others to be all that they can, so that WE can be all that WE can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely going to go eat! Biscuit bar or a similar brunch place. Maybe go by the mall get a fit. Go back to the crib and kick it probably take a quick nap then call up some more friends and meet down at Deep ellum or uptown for the night!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to all my family and friends for the years and years of support. Really don’t know where I’d be without the people I have in my corner from tough love to roasting me when I’m acting up. Pushing me to go above and beyond my comfort zone and believing in me even at times that I barely believed in myself. Everything I do is for them and I just wanna make them proud at the end of the day.
