We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Bogues and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
What matters to our clients, matters to us. It’s our mission to leave people and businesses better than we found them. At Bogues Group we are able to impact our community in three ways. The first way is through our services: event planning, marketing and public relations. We follow our four pillars of quality consulting: creativity, connecting and unmatched customer service. We often work with nonprofits to help them get the coverage they deserve while creating unforgettable event experiences that raise funds to support their mission. The second way is with our C-suite is Calling initiative. This is a call to action for men and women to foster a 5% increase in women in leadership positions. Finally, our Complete Brand Builder workbook helps entrepreneurs build their brand from A to Z at a price they can afford. When you’re starting out, a budget for a PR or brand team is not always possible. Our guide includes how to apply for awards, create a boiler plate, connect with media and more to put the new business ahead of the rest.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Bogues Group is an award winning, black female led consulting agency specializing in communications and events. By focusing on design, data and details we are able to implement creative solutions to meet our client’s needs which lends to what makes our structure unique. Our team is comprised of experienced professionals with 10+ years of experience in their industry so whether a client is looking for a crisis communication plan, a company rebrand or event planning, the project will be guided with result driven strategies and a personal touch. We customize each plan and approach because no one client is the same.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love exploring especially when it includes entertainment and delicious food/drinks. I’m big on New American cuisine so love Cafe Momentum or for an Instagrammable moment XOXO Dining. For a fun night out going to a Dallas Cowboys game or for a bit of culture going to the Dallas Museum of Art and the African American museum

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It is hard to pick just one person because there have been so many people to help me along the way. One person who has always had a major impact is my late grandfather. We lost him to cancer but having him for the short time we did made a lasting impression. My grandfather started working on the farm then moved to MD to work as an elevator operator in a hospital. He put himself through school then later became one of the top Physicians Assistants at Johns Hopkins. He was always so proud of me and taught me valuable life lessons to treat everyone with grace and to go after your dreams.
