Meet Bria Rogers | Vintage and Holistic Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bria Rogers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bria, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think frisk is essential in anything successful in life. Playing it safe has never led to extraordinary results. Here’s my thought process on it…Life is short, the time will pass anyway, so why not put all you have into what you love? Chances are if you put the energy into something you love, the positivity of it all will lead to something great contrary to the latter. So, spend your savings, reach out to that celebrity or influencer on social media because that could be the action that catapults your business or success. We can’t take our savings with us if tomorrow isn’t promised and the worst thing a person can say to you is, “No.” Sometimes, a “no” could also be your motivation to push harder. Bottom line is, TAKE ALL THE RISKS for what you love, that way you’ll never live with regret. I’ve had tremendous success in taking risks and it has taught me a lot along the way. Risk taking has grown my business and has grown me as a person. I now own GoldenPyramidSunnies as well as my newest business venture: Sí Mas, Sea Moss. I’m the first Entrepreneur in Dallas to have a Sea Moss shop and I will be at the White Label Expo in Vegas this September as a speaker and Exhibitor for it. Check both of my businesses out on Instagram: @goldenpyramidsunnies and @simasseamoss. My two passions in life: healthy, holistic living and Vintage eyewear.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own two local DFW businesses. GoldenPyramidSunnies is a curated vintage eyewear collection and Sí Mas, Sea Moss is a Sea Moss gel and Soap shop. Both unique I’m their own ways! GoldenPyramidSunnies is the ONLY curated vintage eyewear company in DFW and the collection has very unique and rare pieces of eyewear fashion history. Customers are guaranteed to stand out with any purchase and the quality is always impeccable. My inspiration for the collection came from my mother who was an avid eyewear collector. She passed down her vintage eyewear collection to me in 2013 and I started collecting more from that point on. My other business, Sí Mas, Sea Moss is at the forefront of today’s health consumer market. My sea moss business is the only one like it in all of DFW. I supply a variety of different sea moss gels, sea moss soaps and even smudging bundles. I’m a strong believer in the Earth has our medicine. My holistic journey started in 2012 when my father was given 6 months to live. I researched every plant and herb you could imagine to help his health and I’m happy to say that he lived 5 years instead of 6 months. I strongly believe the Super Foods and herbs that I added to his diet(along with his positive attitude and faith) helped him live longer and more vibrantly. I also had health issues short after and Sea Moss has been a CRUCIAL part of my mental and physical healing. I want to help as many people as I can and spread the knowledge. Sí Mas, Sea Moss will be a showcased exhibitor at the White Label Expo in Las Vegas this September. I hope to shed more light and knowledge in order to be a tool for people in need.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start off by taking them to the Kimbell Art Museum in Ft Worth, The Dallas Museum of Art, Perot Science Museum, and of course—The Sweet Tooth Hotel Art Pop up! I would then take them to my favorite place in DFW—Bishop Arts District for the best food and patio seating that DALLAS has to offer. Rich in culture with such a homey feeling! Obviously the Reunion Tour is also a must for the views, as well as Klyde Warren Park for a good truck stop!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my passion and perseverance to my Father who passed in 2017, Russell Alan Rogers. He taught me what the world doesn’t teach us at a young age. I am so grateful for the unlearning I never had to do because of what he instilled in me. I live in my truth without regret. I know his spirit lives on through me as well as the universe.
