We had the good fortune of connecting with Bonnie Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bonnie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking has definitely had a huge impact on my life. I mean when we really think about it , we have been taking risks from the moment we took control over our own life , from the moment we risk to fall when we take that first step. Risk taking for me has been intensified but I don’t regret one thing. From making decisions to have a child, from marriage to divorce , from career change to entrepreneurship , RISK TAKING has definitely played its part in my life but without it I wouldn’t be able to say I’ve accomplished what I have at my age , with three beautiful healthy children and support bigger than I could ever imagine. Risk is the reason for me, and why I continue to do what I love so passionately. During this pandemic we all took huge risks , small business owners especially, it isn’t something light to take on when you have risked everything to continue to run a business you love, but unfortunately due to the nature of the year we all had a lot of risk taking to take place , for many including myself it was definitely a challenge but I’m forever grateful for the continued support or my clients and their business. So with that being said for me Risk has had its bad but it’s also been very good to me, I think taking risk is one way to get what you really yearn for in life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Since my last interview, I have managed to open my own shop that I managed and ran with three employees for one full year. Due to the pandemic I was forced to make the decision to utilize my home space and take a year to work from home until my children are able to go to school full time. I’m actually very excited for what I have to come next year, I have a lot of goals that I have met and have a few to go. Their were many challenges I faced to get where I am today but I am forever grateful to everything I experienced because I learned valuable lessons and overcame huge obstacles that have prepared me for the next step of my journey with the Dental and Esthetic world. I know things won’t be easy but I’m ready for what this year has in store for me and I can’t wait to be back in one year to write another article about the future I have planned. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestie came into town we’d definitely have to start with Hero’s on Sunday for hummus and a cucumber Collins. Then make our way to Red River. Monday would be a relaxing day at Spa Castle. Tuesday we’d have to head to the WinStar casinos as that’s my lucky day. Wednesday would be tacos and vino because they have a live band and I’m a sucker for that. Thursday would be Summit rock climbing and let me tell you, that’s the best workout you could ever do, it’s amazing! Friday would have to be Uchiba (order the G3) you’re so welcome by the way! Just to end our Saturday at The Good Man in deep ellum (live band , great food ) my bestie would definitely not be disappointedShoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When it comes to my success in my life now , I can only give my recognition to my children. This past year was definitely a hard one for me , I had so many decisions to make some with little to no time but I managed to do it all with good outcomes. I promised myself this year that I would get my mental stability back not only for myself but for my children. I lost a huge piece of my heart last year and I was not in my right mind set so I knew I had to take control of my life again especially for my three children. I enrolled myself into. Therapy sessions where I learned that loving yourself first is essential to life!It was the best decision I made , I feel less stress and I’m able to be the best mom I can be. My accomplishment definitely start and end with three people and I can only thank them for helping me be who I really am! All my thanks goes to my children
