We had the good fortune of connecting with Avishag Eckhous-Cohen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Avishag, how do you think about risk?
I’m a big believer in taking risks in my personal life and work. I was born and raised in Israel. I have a bachelor’s degree in HR and a master’s in business management, specializing in marketing and international business. I planned to work in marketing after completing my master’s degree and building a career for myself. During the summer break that I had on my first degree, I flew to travel in the United States, and there I met my husband, Ben. After about a year, Ben proposed to me, and we decided to get married when I finished my master’s degree, and so it was. From the point where I started studying and building a career for myself, I got to the point where, at the age of 27, I decided to take the risk of moving to another country where the language is different and the culture is different, a country where I have no family or friends, but I saw the goal: my relationship. It was the best decision that I ever made. At 34, with two amazing daughters, I decided to set out independently and engage in real estate. It was a huge risk for my family and me. At this point, there are heavier responsibilities: mortgage, paying for schools, cars, bills, etc. With all this, I decided to leave my job, where I received a good salary, but I felt a lack of self-fulfillment, and for me, it was a terrible situation. Taking such a step is stressful, but I believe that great success comes with risks and hard work. And although the beginning is difficult, it will bring a better future for my family and me.

What should our readers know about your business?
My effervescent energy, boundless resourcefulness, unwavering determination, love of people, and unparalleled work ethic set me apart from others. My passion for forging strong connections with clients was sparked early in my career as a senior account manager in customer success, where I had the privilege of working with VIP clients in the telecommunications industry. Since then, I’ve traversed the country, bringing my relationship-building prowess to Israel, Minnesota, Chicago, and Texas companies. My extensive experience working with diverse groups of people has only strengthened my ability to foster deep connections and engage in effective negotiation. I pride myself on my ability to think outside the box and craft innovative solutions for my clients, no matter what challenges come our way.

Today, as I assist lovely folks in the exciting journey of buying, selling, renting, or seeking out an investment property, I bring all the skills, abilities, and experience I have accumulated over the years. I use these attributes to ensure that every deal is successful, ultimately leaving my clients happy and satisfied.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The first ones who deserve credit are my parents, who gave me years of support, business thinking, and love. I want to give the main shoutout to my husband, whose daily reminders remind me of my strengths and abilities that sometimes we forget in our daily routine, work, children, and life. He is the man who supports and encourages me behind the scenes so that I can do what I love.
