We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Mooring and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
My inspiration comes from the stories of strong women who lead by example and let their stories serve as an example for the next generation. My mother was and still is one of my biggest inspirations. She was a single mother with 3 girls but she didn’t let her circumstances define who she was. She showed us what a leader looks like. Taking that torch on is something I want to do for both my children, my audience, and my community as a whole.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My sister and I share a deep passion for beauty and fashion. Along with our interest in these topics, we also wanted to share our personal journeys with others. Since childhood, we have used our creativity to inspire family and friends through our clothing, hairstyles, and makeup choices. Our love for fashion magazines, such as Vogue, Elle, and Seventeen, has also fueled our passion for beauty and style. We often watch makeup tutorials from popular beauty influencers on YouTube, who have the ability to reach millions, further inspiring us to create a platform of our own to teach and inspire others.

It definitely hasn’t been an easy journey. The loss of our mother in 2019 left us feeling completely devastated, and for a time, we struggled to find motivation. The subsequent arrival of the pandemic made it even more difficult to process our grief. However, in time, we were able to find the space to grieve and, as a result, rediscover our drive. We began posting more frequently on social media, creating a schedule for blog content, and networking with others online.
We quickly learned that networking can be challenging, and we often found ourselves struggling with impostor syndrome. Despite these obstacles, we remain committed to letting our passion shine through and resonate with our audience.

Through these experiences, we have learned the importance of perseverance, self-compassion, and trusting the process. We want to share our message of positivity, personal experiences, and empowerment with the world and continue to build a community of like-minded individuals who support one another.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I moved to Dallas Fort Worth after leaving my hometown of Kansas City, Missouri in 2011 when I met and married my husband. I am very much a “homebody” these days. When I do go out I am such a fan of breakfast food. I absolutely LOVE Mimi’s Cafe in Arlington Texas. They serve all-day breakfast and have so many great options on their menu to choose from. I definitely get my fix.

Whether you’re visiting Fort Worth for museums, shopping, or visiting the Fort Worth Zoo, there are so many incredible things to see and do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my sisters. My sister Patrice is one of the CEOs of our blog who also works hard to make sure that we are reaching and inspiring our audience. We are each other’s cheerleaders and love working together to make our goals possible. My sister LaChele is the best support system I could ask for. She likes all of our posts on social media and is the first one to read every blog post. She is always there to offer those encouraging words that we need to keep going.
