We had the good fortune of connecting with WiL Turner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi WiL, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Given the Covid19 pandemic, many, including myself have shifted their priorities to focus on what matters most; that being taking care of themselves.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Everyday poses a challenge for those whose lives are not solely about them.

We are only as successful as those we are supported and surrounded by. My success is attributed to my loved ones, friends, and community, in additiin to my resillience, determination, sense of purpose and service to others.

My role as the founder of Living Well with WiL and my extensive professional background of 20 years in Social and Behavioral Science, Education, Social Philanthropy, Community Leadership and Outreach, Physical, Social and Emotional Wellness Counseling allows me to support the nurturing of my clients and communities health in mind body and Spirit.

The focus of both my brand and professional career in education, physical health, and emotional wellness counseling allows me to support those whose lives are impacted by physical and mental health issues, depression,   and emotional trauma.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As one whose social circle consists of a very diverse mix of amazing individuals who also supports many of the local businesses and restaurants in Dallas; my intenerary would include spending quality time with my loved ones and friends at my church Cathedral of Hope, my favorite museums, restauraunts, and attending charity events which support my favorite charities and the philanthropic endeavors of Bob’s House of Hope, Blacktie, and DIFFA.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My success and sense of purpose to be of service to others is ode to my mother and the sisters who have raised me and love me unconditionally.
