We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea G. Miles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrea G., what do you want your legacy to be?
My legacy is significant to me. I talk a lot with my Estate Planning clients about their legacy. I always ask my clients, “what do you want to leave behind after you’re gone?”. When crafting estate plans for my clients, I am dealing mostly with the materialistic side of legacy. Of course, most of us have the goal of creating generation wealth, myself included. But I want my legacy to be more than providing financial security for my family. I want to leave an impact on my family and my community. My goal is to use my legal practice to help others and build up my community. I want to be remembered as someone active in my community and who practiced law passionately and compassionately for my clients. I want to build generational wealth and provide education for my own family, and I want to position other families to be successful as well.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am Managing Partner of Allen Miles & Associates, PLLC. My firm was established in 2017 with my law partner, Jason Allen. Starting and building a business is never easy. There are many long nights followed by early mornings, missed time with family, and huge sacrifices—dedication and being passionate about my work how I got through to tough times. The practice of law can be extremely challenging and emotionally taxing. But I find comfort in knowing that I can help others, and that brings me peace and joy. My firm will be four years old in September 2021. We have seen tremendous growth in a short period of time, and I am proud to say we have been able to help a lot of families in our community with various types of legal issues. I want the world to know that Allen Miles & Associates cares. We connect with our clients, and we listen. My partner and I are both committed to helping the communities we live in and the communities we practice in. Our clients are like our extended family. The trust of our clients is the most valuable part of our practice.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my friends come to town to visit, we love to eat. Dallas has some amazing food, and there are so many great options. One spot that I like to grab lunch from is Hall’s Chicken. I have loved this place since I was a teenager. Anyone who knows me will confirm how much I love Hall’s. Another favorite spot of mine to eat with friends in Bangkok City. Best Thai food ever. I have a sweet tooth, so I like to have chocolate-dipped everything and wine at Simply Fondue on lower Greenville. Klyde Warren Park is a great place to hang with friends and family, and so are the awesome museums in the City.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family. I would not be where I am without their constant love and support. My family has been with me my entire journey, and I am extremely grateful for the roles they have all played in my lives.
