We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber England and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is by Tim Duncan: “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best.” I like this quote because it requires us to adopt the attitude of continuous improvement – It is about being your absolute best. Most of us have the ability to do a lot of things well, but too many are satisfied with “good” and have the tendency to settle for mediocrity. When we become content with “good is enough,” we settle for much less than we could achieve. When we become uncomfortable with “good” we can take steps to become better. And, by pressing to be better, we realize we can do much more than we thought we could. When you master the mindset of continuously pursuing “better,” you can become your very best. I believe i wouldn’t be where I am today without this mindset, but yet, I have much more to accomplish.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am currently Marketing Director at Vitalyc Medspa, a dallas-based medical spa with services centered around the improvement and maintenance of the physical aspects of beauty and health, including anti-aging treatments, enhancing natural beauty and improving overall health. With a growing personal interest in health, fitness and beauty, I decided to become a full time employee at Vitalyc. This transition happened this Fall, however, I have been working with Vitalyc for nearly a year. Vitalyc was originally my client at Commix Marketing, a Social Media Marketing and Public Relations company I began about two years ago. I would be lying if I said this was an easy decision, but I couldn’t turn down this opportunity. Acting as Marketing Director at Vitalyc will challenge me across all forms of marketing (not just digital marketing) in a very competitive industry, and allow me to become more knowledgable in subjects that genuinely interests me. Not to mention, I am very proud to be a part of a team of dedicated and motivated people. It goes back to my favorite quote/affirmation I mentioned earlier; don’t wait for good while better is available and best can be achievable.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My journey has been met with very great highs and lows. It would not have been possible without the support of my family, mentors, and friends. I am forever grateful for those close to me that have steadily given me unbiased advice, guidance, love, support, challenged me, and encouraged me to never give up. There are way too many individuals to list, but each has impacted my life greatly in different areas. Many thanks to you all!
