We had the good fortune of connecting with Abbie Clinton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abbie, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Got Your Bash was truly an AHA moment. After leaving the corporate world and transitioning into full time business ownership with my photography business, I realized how much I missed planning. That’s what I went to school for and it was something I have always loved. I was photographing about 20 weddings a year, so I knew I could not start a wedding planning business, so I thought about what other events revolved around a wedding. That’s when Got Your Bash came to life. Planning bachelorettes has been so eye opening and exciting, but also tough and stressful at times. It’s truly something I never thought was going to take off like it did, and I’m so eternally grateful.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Got Your Bash started five years ago from a small idea into something that has been so incredible. Getting to work with clients all over the world is so fascinating while planning one of the best trips of their lives. We are set apart by the trust and customization we put into every trip. There are tons of bachelorette companies out there, but Got Your Bash is one of the only companies that will work nationwide. We are based in Dallas, however we plan all over the United States, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Every single bachelorette or event that we plan is fully custom to the guests.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have loved every second of living in Dallas. After leaving my hometown of Los Angeles and moving to Alabama for college, I knew I wanted something that had a little bit of both and that’s how I landed on Dallas. Dallas has so many things to offer so this is just a few of them.

For a long weekend, I would start by picking them up at Love Field (the best airport ever in my opinion)! We would head over to Greenville Ave. for happy hour, stopping at Leela’s first ( a plus if it’s during the holidays) and then making our way to Sfuzzi for dinner.

The next morning, we would head out to Northpark or Legacy West to do some shopping. If you’re in Plano, Haywire or Taverna for brunch is a must. After that, we’d probably go home to hang out with our dogs and watch some football! For dinner, I’d choose Oishii!

The next day, assuming it’s football season, we’d head to Texas Live then the Cowboys game!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would never be where I was without the support of my fiancé, Katie. Katie and I started dating as Got Your Bash was taking off. She was the first person to celebrate my wins and sit with me in times of trouble. She has been the best cheerleader since day one and has not stopped since. Now we are about four years in and about to get married!

Also, my family! They have been there since day 1! They’ve been able to recognize my highs and lows of business, but never steered away from being there to support me. I owe it all to them!
