We had the good fortune of connecting with AaronOuter$pace and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi AaronOuter$pace, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I just realize that I’m not always going to feel the same way about the art every day, so I give myself the space to take breaks rather than give up entirely.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art personally is centered around giving the listener the most authentic expression of myself/and what I was going through at any given time. I think thats something we all relate to in the Umbrella. Sometimes its clean sometimes its unmixed and raw but i feel like I’m trying to chronicle my time on the earth within the music. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way though, is to have a team. Steel sharpens steel.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Im a homebody so this question is hell for me despite living in Arlington my whole life but…. Some of my favorite spots are Flying Fish and Old School Pizza and Suds if we’re talking food. Definitely gotta hit CD warehouse and dig for some records and Screw tapes. You also might find me at K1’s karting complex too shaving down lap times with the homies haha.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s a lot of people on the scene that deserve recognition, but that being said, I definitely gotta give the credit to the other homies in the Umbrella. We’re a collection of artists/producers mainly centered in Arlington, TX that consists of members: Halloween Han, $howgun, 95Bash, Burks Bigga, Joseph Milton, Ankh Lo, Ali Mozart, and Tae G. Im grateful to be surrounded by so much talent at one time.
